City CCTV that helped bring a new-born home within 5 hours

In August 2024, footage from the smart-pole CCTV camera near the Government Hospital – installed and maintained by SSTECH under the Salem Smart City project – was provided from the ICCC to Salem City Police on request. It helped the police trace a new-born baby taken from the hospital, and the baby was safely returned to the family within about 5 hours.
